El Radio Digital TYT MD-380 utiliza tecnología digital TDMA (Time-division- multi access) que duplica el numero de usuarios posibles en un canal de 12.5Khz. Cumple con el estándar universal DMR, lo que la hace compatible con radios digitales de Motorola (Mototrbo), Kenwood, o cualquier otro con estándar DMR.
